Ethylene glycol hexyl ether (HCS)

The ethylene glycol hexyl ether series is mainly used as a solvent for cleaning solutions, paints, coatings, and ink formulations. Ethylene glycol hexyl ether has excellent oil solubility, making it effective in household and industrial cleaning agent applications. Ethylene glycol hexyl ether can be used as a coalescing agent for water-based latex coatings and plays an important role in special printing inks, including screen printing processes. Its limited water solubility and slow evaporation rate can prevent premature solidification of the ink. Ethylene glycol hexyl ether and diethylene glycol hexyl ether are potential alternatives to halogenated hydrocarbons in non vapor degreasing applications.
